When should I replace my mask cushion?
Cushions should be replaced every 4-6 months to ensure optimal functionality. Cushions wear out and can suffer from a build-up of facial oil or makeup and loses their ability to create a seal reduces considerably.
When should I replace my CPAP machine filter?
Filters clear small debris from the air before passing through the tubing into your lungs. It is recommended that disposable filters are replaced every 2 to 6 months and reusable filters be replaced yearly.
When should I replace my CPAP mask frame & headgear?
Replace mask frame and headgear once every 6-8 months to ensure no issues arise with therapy. Headgear may lose elasticity and Velcro may wear off. When this happens, your mask is likely to shift around more in your sleep.
How long should my CPAP machine last?
The life expectancy of a CPAP machine differs based on the equipment and your care. In general, CPAP machines are used for roughly three to five years.
